Kingston Chess Club welcomes juniors to attend the club, represent the club in matches at the appropriate level,   and to join as members, Junior members if they are under 16, Full members if they are 16 or over. The Club has a safeguarding policy published here Safeguarding Policy | Kingston Chess Club. Children under the age of 16 should normally be accompanied by a parent or other responsible adult on the premises when playing. If you are a parent, then you should register membership with the name of the child but use your own email address.  The Club will never contact a child directly.

Kingston Junior Chess Club (KJCC) will operate during school terms at the Richard Mayo Centre earlier on Monday evenings, starting at 5.15 pm. KJCC is a separate organisation with which KCC is pleased to collaborate. It will provide coaching and game opportunities for juniors. Those interested will find information and a link to the booking form at www.kingstonjuniorchess.com. Members of KJCC can join Kingston Chess Club at a discounted rate, and this will be the natural pathway for juniors to become involved in match chess. 

Juniors, especially of primary school age, may also like to try the drop in sessions at the Tudor Drive Library on Thursdays at 4pm during term time.
